I would be shocked if Jamil Demby did not make the roster. Played LT at the University of Maine, which IMO an underrated school. Great size and having hsi former OC Liam Cohen on the staff gave the Rams a little inside information. Demby I think can be a Saffold 2.0 if you will as he carried himself very well at the Senior Bowl and very bright as well, so there is be no issue with the scheme. Most likely Austin Blythe will be filling in for Brown, but I like Demby's upside and believe he's going to be a future starter in the NFL.
I agree with all that. In terms of how they handled the suspension, my bet is that they practice Brown as the #1 all summer and then in the first 2 games sub in Blythe. That would seem to be the best thing for continuity overall. Unless something else happens to Brown he's still the starter for 14 games. Blythe doesn't have the profile of a starter but they have subbed him in before and he did fine. Demby is interesting, but unless he's a huge surprise this summer, he's switching from left tackle and is a rookie at a time when players don't get as much coaching in the off-season as they did before the new CBA. Like you though his future looks good to me and Demby does fit the profile of a Kromer guard.
