If I were Donald there is no way I play without an epic sum of guaranteed cash. But I would also not hire France as an agent.
If he doesn't get the requisite 4 accrued years to qualify to become a free agent, the Rams are under no obligation to give him an extension or trade him. They wouldn't even have to use the franchise tag to retain him. AD would literally have zero leverage. His current contract would just extend indefinitely until he got 4 accrued seasons.
