We may never know the whole story about Watkins being wide open but not thrown to as discussed on the board.
But even as a Goff guy, I'm willing to admit that at times he appeared to be more than willing to just go to Cupp because it was the easier, or shorter, or more reliable throw, AND he trusted Cupp. But it was also maybe a little predictable.
If Cooks is even he's leavin', and the QB has to recognize that and launch it out in front for him quickly before it becomes an underthrown situation.
If Goff develops timing and trust with Cooks, and grows in knowing when best to use him, and when to take advantage of the space created underneath, then this offense could be deadly.
