If the refs allow that kind of mugging. The first int. could have been due to Howard disrupting the route but Brady has to know that and threw it anyway. Some poor throws by Brady didn’t do Cooks any favors.
I see Cooks as a weapon type of playmaker not the move the chains or clutch type. Not necessarily a guy you go to when you need a play. They have Woods and Kupp and TEs and Gurley for that. That said, I haven’t watched a lot of Cooks to really be confident of that assessment.
If they brought Cooks in to catch 80 + balls a season then I think that would be a mistake... but I don’t think that’s why they brought him in. 50 catches 10 TDs and I think he will have some Tavon type plays... minus running up the middle.
I agree nice game by Howard but it could have easily been a worse night for him if the refs were calling a tighter game. I would depend on Cooks too much in the playoffs except to stretch the field.
