Just watched a NFL network show of top 10 all-time underrated players and no Issac Bruce. He is so underrated that he can't even make an underrated list.
5th all-time receiving yards and was #2 only behind Rice until the modern age of football with no touch rules and more passing allowed Moss, Owens, and Fitzgerald to pass him up.
Imagine that and he gets no Hall of Fame look.
He was great on bad teams when he had to carry the load and great on good teams when he had to share the ball.
He had the book end long TD receptions in the 1999 playoff season with the game winning superbowl catch.
6 catches for 162 yards in superbowl with that game winner on a pass where he turned a probable interception into a game winning touchdown by not tipping off the defender who had the inside track on the ball and making the adjustment at the perfect moment. As good as Warner was that game, Bruce deserved that MVP.
Faulk, Warner, Pace - as great as they were, Bruce had more longevity and made the bigger plays in his career and they all got in before Bruce. None of them have the eye popping stat of 5th all-time in yards and where Bruce was #2 only behind Jerry Rice for a period of time.
And year after year passes and no Bruce consideration for the Hall of Fame.
So funny that the guy is so underrated that he can't make an underrated list.
