depends on point of view.
Gurley and Donald are excellent players. Goff appears to be franchise QB. Those 3 players - pretty impressive to acquire.
That is the positive
On the negative side:
2 of the 3, however, played poorly for Fisher because of his offensive limitations in his approach and how he developed players on that side of the ball. Fisher has to realize that had he stayed, nobody would be talking about Gurley and Goff and they would be considered bust.
I don't know what happened to Gurley in 2016 but he was fine in 2015. McGinniss said he was hurt in 2016 and he absolutely didn't practice all camp and according to his own words, started working out in the off-season a month or 2 late. Whatever happened it was visible. National analysts noticed he didn't have the same strength and explosiion in 2016 and some even questioned his vision. Whatever it was he dedicated himself to working in the 2017 off-season and made sure everyone knew it too. He came back a different guy. So 2016 was an off year for him. He wasn't the same then as he was in 2015 (in the same offensive system) and certainly revived himself at a high level in 2017. I expect the same this year.
As you would expect, Keenum played better than Goff in the same system in 2016 even though neither had a running game, and neither had a running game for a lot of reasons, including if not especially Gurley not being himself that year.
