Demoff is in charge of the whole team.
He has a cap/contract guy that works for him directly. In other words the cap guy doesn't report to Snead.
TA contract while terrible didn't really hurt us that much. Still I wonder if he plays his cards to cute sometimes.
Remember both sides need to want a deal. I think the Donald situation is playing out pretty much as we would suspect. If we go past the losing eligibility window for Donald we will know both sides are dug in.
I see that Snead and McVay will communicate which players they really need and which ones they would like to have and Demoff looks to negotiate a deal that works for both sides. But there is no way that Snead/McVay tell Demoff what do do.
We agree on how the organization is set up. To expand on that, the business people (up to and including Demoff) also aren't going to impose a player on the coach/GM they don't want, either. They don't dictate to him but he doesn't impose players on them.
However, I do have questions about how they do deals. It's not just Donald that isn't signed, it's also Cooks and Joyner.
But for me, those questions will be answered once they sign
at least Donald and Cooks.
