Agree on Goff needing to improve in close games, however, there were a few games where if Kupp catches the ball against the Seahawks and against the Eagles, not his fault the defense could not hold a lead, however, the playoff game against the Falcons is a good example. Goff did seem to struggle with going through his progressions, locking onto one receiver, even did that on the last drive in the Pro Bowl as well.
What I want to see is the Red Zone efficiency to improve as that is why the Rams drafted Goff over Wentz and the ability to look off the primary route and hit his secondary or safety valve on the play.
So we agree on clutch play in tough games---they need to improve, and it's far from being just Goff. I think a more seasoned team (and a more seasoned Goff) can do that. All that has little to do, IMO, with whether they looked EXTRA sharp in OTAs. When it comes to that I just assume that if they are no different from last year they will win their share of games. It's the clutch play, I think anyway, that will make the difference, and you can't practice that.
