Just listened to him talk about Goff in OTAs. He said Goff hasn’t looked very good. Lots of picks and batted balls. He said Goff has been incorrectly portrayed in social media by other sources. Made it sound like disingenuous hype. He did say that Goff looked really good on Monday so he felt comfortable letting the cat out of the bag now.

You heard a much more drastic version of what he said than I did.
Basically he said he didn't look that much different from last year. BUT JC seems to think that this is supposed to be the time when he steps up to a level higher than last year.
I don't trust JC on Goff. He said EVERYONE had low expectations for him last year. Uh, no, not everyone.
Really his issue is not that Goff played poorly in OTAs---he says the opposite---but that JG is not stepping up the way he (JC) thinks he should be in year 3.
This is an exact quote: He doesn't think Goff is stepping up to another level in year 3.

The level of consistency needs to improve in year 3."That was not about performance it was about expectations. JC seems to think that right now we're supposed to see a new level of play from Goff that's above last year. Meanwhile it's also clear JC didn't see improvement last summer either
