they both made bonehead decisions last year.

Tree inherited the leadership tag from Laurenitis, getting both vocal and demonstrative over the years.
Quinn was quiet but led by example nonetheless. And the coaches acknowledged both as leaders.

Still, last year Tree made a selfish decision to play while he had a noodle for a left arm. Could not tackle for beans on his left side, but refused to come out. Hager came in played better but Tree came back in. A true warrior or unable to acknowledge the injury? Hurt the team in critical games like Philly. Did "Me Not We" have a factor in letting him go?

Quinn had so many offsides call last year - especially lining up off which is unforgivable - and he hurt the team a lot with critical errors. Am SURE that the Rams coaches talked about improving that aspect of his game. I think they got rid of him because his salary was 8 digits this year.

Tree does not play hurt unless the staff allows him to. Under those conditions players do not take themselves out. Especially a player charged with making defensive calls. It's not his final decision anyway...he cannot overrule the staff if they sit him.

Quinn had 4 offsides penalties last year. If you combine neutral zone with offsides, Bosa had more. As did Suh. As did Lawrence (Dallas). Etc. The team with the most defensive offsides in the league btw was the Eagles.
