Rampage2K-it seems most people want to blame the Rams on this one though
From the nfl network reports from last year it was reported to be a huge offer, but Rams didn’t like the opt out clause the agent was seeking...there seems to be more evidence that it was a very generous offer then a lowball offer based on the reports.
All we can go by is what has been reported, but until the actual offers are made public, lets just try not to assume either way.
We have no idea whether that was a legit "huge offer" that was viable in the 2017 market. None. The reporter who passed it on had no idea either. For all we know it did not measure up to the fair market amount for 2017 even if it looked like a big number.
So what has been reported? Nothing has been reported. Including the report you cite. Though even the report you cite does not say Donald turned down a huge offer...it just offered one of 2 theories that are out there about contract structure being the issue.
And. I don't see most people blaming the Rams. If there is blame it seems to be pretty equal who is being blamed.
Other than that we see everything eye to eye.
Jokes aside, I really don't think anyone knows anything yet. So it's way too soon to blame anybody. Heck for all we know the truth is, they're both at fault. Or. No one is.
