Yeah, and younger players may get bigger roles as the season progresses. Ebukam, for example, averaged about 11 snaps per game the first half of last year and 29 per game after their bye week.

These are the LB candidates this summer, listed in random order. Some are on the official roster as DEs but we know from reports that these particular "DEs" are at least trying out at LB. It's 15 total and they will keep 8, presumably, or at most, 9. Some unheralded new guys like Womac are intriguing. Some like Price are iffy. One thing...in 4 DL sets some of these guys have to line up as 3-point traditional DEs.

26 Barron, Mark LB 6-2 225 28 6 Alabama
50 Ebukam, Samson LB 6-3 240 23 R Eastern Washington
54 Hager, Bryce LB 6-1 237 26 3 Baylor
48 Howard, Travin LB 6-1 213 22 R TCU
59 Kiser, Micah LB 6-2 240 23 R Virginia
45 Okoronkwo, Ogbonnia LB 6-1 240 23 R Oklahoma
46 Scales, Tegray LB 6-0 227 22 R Indiana
52 Wilson, Ramik LB 6-2 237 25 4 Georgia
97 Fox, Morgan DE 6-3 275 23 2 Colorado State-Pueblo
96 Longacre, Matt DE 6-3 255 26 3 Northwest Missouri State
62 Womac, Brian DE 6-2 235 23 R Rice
49 Young, Trevon DE 6-4 258 23 R Louisville
58 Littleton, Cory OLB 6-3 225 24 2 Washington
51 Price, Ejuan OLB 6-0 250 25 R Pittsburgh
56 Sickels, Garrett OLB 6-4 252 23 0 Penn State
