You're the one with the assertion that the fans thought the Rams had the best uniforms in the league. Not me.
I do remember rankings back in the 80's where the Rams were always near the top of the list in best uniforms. That all stopped when they went to the STL colors.
Totally agree max. IMO, changing to "gold" was a way of distancing themselves from LA and appeasing the St Louis people to make the team more "their own". The same way they want to now distance themselves from anything St Louis by going to B+W or B+Y and appease the LA fans.
I never liked the change to gold and to make it worse, taking the horns off the sleeves was blasphemy! Changing the uni after winning the franchise's first Superbowl made no sense to me. I know it was planned BEFORE the SB win, but even so, after the win, I would have scrapped the planned change. Is it a coincidence that once we changed the horns back to LA colors, we started winning again? lol Don't fix what isn't broken and don't mess with the horns!!

“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
