There are a lot of lists out there. There seems to be more QBs considered franchise QBs than ever. Here's a list of QB's that are generally considered to be franchise QBs. Dalton seems to be considered the dividing point for franchise QBs. Does anyone think any of these guys aren't franchise QBs or is there someone missing from this list of 21 QBs?
Rodgers
Brady
Brees
Wentz
Roethlisberger
Wilson
Ryan
Luck
Stafford
Newton
Rivers
Garoppolo
Cousins
Watson
Carr
Smith
Prescott
Winston
Goff
Mariota
Dalton
With this provision. Which I doubt you would disagree with
It's a variable list.
Bradford was on it before injuries, Eli was on it before he declined (and with Shurmur he might get back on it). Flacco, same as Eli. For a long time, Smith wasn;t on it.
I see Dalton as being a product of circumstances. Give him less supportive circumstances and he struggles IMO.

Agree. It is a variable list. It changes every year. Any one of these guys can either get seriously hurt and/or have a significant change in their performance.
But I think you will also agree that the way the NFL is now there are a lot more "franchise" QBs now than there were 20 years ago.
When I think back to the 70's, when Knox was in LA, how many franchise QBs were there? I think just a small handful.
