Steven Mitchell said he arrived two hours before his Rams physical, "I was just ready to get here."

Mitchell suffered two knee injuries at USC. "As a person, as a man, I've been through a lot." Says he's already earned his Master's degree.

Mitchell said the Rams were the first team who called. "I know they have a great coaching staff." Said he also had UDFA offers from Houston and the Chargers.

Luis Perez stopped playing football in high school when he was moved to receiver at Otay Mesa High in San Diego. Decided to start playing again after attending the final home game as a senior. "What am I doing up here (in the stands), I need to be down there (on the field)."
