That's how I remember those teams. I think I went to 5 games in Anaheim over those 3 seasons. Not sure that's on Knox but I remember in 1992 the offense was OK but the defense was pretty terrible. Jackie Slater was fading fast. Daryl Ashmore couldn't cut it as his heir and Wayne Gandy was clueless as a rookie. Leo Goeas got there in 1993 and to me he was one of the worst OG they ever had. Bettis was stellar as a rookie- especially considering how little was around him. I had high hopes for Drayton as a TE when they drafted him. Everett getting benched in November 1993 really sealed their fate. Ellard left after '93 and I recall being in DC during the '94 preseason and seeing him play for the Redskins on TV and thinking I was happy for him that's he got out of LA...
Defensively Roman Phifer really emerged (my favorite Ram of those bad '90s teams) and Gilbert became a good DT. They signed Conlan and Henry Rolling at LB in 1993 which were supposed to be big splash signings but not so much...
