Ram Quixote, Dec 21, 2013Hey Jack. I've been a Rams' fan since you were drafted. Not that you were the reason I became a fan.
Anyway, the 70's Rams playoff woes were a sore point with Carroll Rosenbloom, and the Mud Bowl was the last straw. What was the players' reactions to Knox's firing?
Jack Youngblood, Dec 23, 2013That was a difficult time. We admired Chuck who was a great teacher and the man lived for the game. He remains one of the great influences in my life and career. But it was probably inevitable and we had to adjust and that meant dealing with Allen coming for a brief time before Ray took over. We played very hard for Ray so it was a good situation.

#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
