Personally, I have yet to see a KO returner hurdle a tackler. OTOH the statistics of KO return injuries are indisputable.

Truth of the matter is football-at any level-is a violent sport resulting in permanent injuries to a huge number of participants. In a sane world it would be made illegal. Nevertheless, I love it, you love it, everyone here loves it. My only point here is to ask ourselves to be honest. We care about the sport we love than those who are seriously and permanently injured. If it were not so there would be no football.

Respectfully we can care all we want but it's the players who decide to play. They know the risks and they still choose to play. Nobody forces them to, certainly not us fans.

I don't want to see anybody get hurt playing this great game, especially permanently. The Shazier injury breaks my heart. I don't know what the answer is to the kickoff issue, but injuries will never be eliminated from the game unless the game itself is eliminated.
