Physically and emotionally. When I hear the crap about "THE SACK" in that game, I remind people that was the FOURTH playoff game in a row. The three prior were on the East Coast. I DO count the Jets game in Anaheim and Pats on the road as playoffs. Rams HAD to win them to make it. 1989 was VERY VERY special year for the Rams IMO.
In 1989, I was stationed in Blytheville Ark, in the USAF. I worked with a civilian who was a HUUUUUUGE Niners fan. He was EXTREMLY uneasy going into that Title game. He talked major crap that day but later told me it was more relief than anything.
