About the difficulty of this year’s schedule...

April 20, 2018 07:03AM
Let’s be honest. Last year’s schedule was no day at the beach. Geez.

Look, this year’s schedule is what it is, and I’m looking at it this way.

The Ram FO and coaching staff have clearly made moves that indicate that they think that this could be a SB year.
Last year they finished 11-5 and it woulda been 12-4 if they played their starters in that final game.
Our D has received dramatic upgrades at 3 key positions with MP, Talib, and Suh.
Cooks is a more than adequate replacement for Watkins.
Both our O and our D should benefit significantly from their 2nd year in the McVay/Wade schemes.

In short, this team has improved itself dramatically over the ‘17 version. There seems no reason to fear an admittedly daunting schedule this season. None.

So, assuming that our LB situation will be (or already is) adequately filled, I see a legit SB caliber team, at least on paper.

What does that mean? Who knows, really? But I think it translates to 12-4, maybe better. I will make my “official” predictions after camp and reading the camp reports that indicate how the new pieces are gelling.

Most important issue of number of "wins" is to get a playoff bye
