Late round/ FA especially. It's the LB hybrids that excel against both run & pass that are higher draft picks and harder to find. We'll either be in run defense on 1st & 2nd or pass defense with our stellar secondary & Nickel-backs.
What's different is the pass rush of our 3 DL gentlemen - our Fearsome Threesome!
They do need at least one OLB who can get some sacks and can play pass-rushing DE in 4 DL sets, or 2 different guys who can each man one of those 2 positions.
They may have someone, they may not. Maybe Ebukam can do at least one of those things.
Granted, last year they engineered being 4th in sacks and 4th in sack percentage without that guy (or rather, with that guy not performing for the 1st 10 games, that guy being Quinn).
Problem of course is that rookies generally don't come through with sacks.
You may be right that with lower round picks, it's easier to bolster the run D.
