His size isn't optimal but here's the thing... he's NOT the one trick pony people make him out to be. Yes he's fast, but this isn't Ron Brown running past everyone on go routes. Oregon State has been futzing around with a Men's track program and had some football players participating during Cooks time in College. I can't find anything official, but I want to say he was in the high 10 second range in the 100, and his teammate at the time Markus Wheaton (Steelers, ??) was faster. And he wasn't even in the top 10 in the Pac 10/12 at the time. He's not just some burner playing football. While his speed was recognized, his college reputation (at least among Oregon State fans) had far more to do with fierce determination and an elite work ethic. He's a gym rat first and foremost, which I think resonates with McVay.
I really believe some around here are going to be pleasantly surprised. Yeah he comes in a small package, but he's a hell of a football player.
