I'm wondering if he adjusts his primary focus will he be proficient in this scheme?
What I think is this:
Suh is a physical mismatch for interior linemen, guards and centers.
He has not played much DE, not enough to evaluate, and it's always been in a 4-3 defense. He had 4 sacks since 2012 as a DE.
With double teams, he used to be bad, Now, he's okay. He used to turn his pads and get turned and they'd run right by him. He does not do that anymore.
He's a good interior rusher, hustles and is strong, and quick enough, Not Donald quick or Geno Atkins quick, but quick enough.
He does his best work when he's at 3-technique, usually in an overshiftted front line. Rams like to undershift, they shift the line away from strength.
There is no film of him as a 5-tech in a 3-4 defense. There is film of his as a 1-tech in a 4-3 defense and it's fine, but to me, he was dominant in Det and Mia as a 3-tech not a 1-tech,
So any move to Rams where he plays 1-tech or 5-tech is a projection. In nickel, he'd be his usualy self, a DT in a 4-2-5 or 4-1-6 defense
