He was ding ok vs Saints but them threw up that disastrous int midway through the 3rd Q with the Vikings ahead 16-7..just tossed uo a balloon that was returned for a TD making it 16-14 and they soon where behind until that last second miracle saved them. Then you had his complete melt dwn in Philly (2 pics and a fumble).
I believe the Vikings went back and looked at all the film and saw what he is and what he is not...lol, just look back at the balloon he threw up to Theilen vs the Rams when he "ducked (barwin & Quinn) and Chucked" that prayer. He got away with A LOT of those type plays last year and when you re-evaluate everything, the Vikings came to the correct conclusion.
For the record, if he wanted to stay on as a back up for $4-$5mil I am sure Minny would have liked that but he did the smart thing and capitalized on 2017.
