The Rams have their center. They announce that they are bringing back John Sullivan with a two-year contract, which gives them some stability at that position. Sullivan knows Sean McVay's offense well and was solid in 2017.
Nope, not even close, dz.
WR
And maybe one or more of NT, OLB (Barwin), or ILB.
Plus many depth guys, of course.
I forgot about Barwin when I posted this. He may be the exception.
But I'm not expecting them to sign any one else noteworthy. By noteworthy I mean expected starter.
WR - who is out there besides Ryan Grant? I just learned that he didn't pass his physical. But he's looking for a long term deal. That doesn't seem to align with what the Rams are looking for. Maybe Pryor b/c it could be a 1 year prove it deal. Other than that, I don't think so on WR. The chances are unlikely it's anyone IMO.
OLB - The FA market was already very thin and it's nearly gone. Barwin. That's it.
ILB - Wade Phillips, in his last 13 years as DC/HC (since 2004), has only done one multi-year deal for an ILB and that was a 3 yr. Keith Brooking contract in 2010 with Houston. He's had 4 other free agent vet signings but they were all cheap one year deals. He simply has never pored money into the position. For ILB, he generally goes with what's on the roster already. (He also rarely drafts the position.) If he signs someone, it's probably a 1 year deal. Who remains out there that fits the bill? Bowman. That's about it as far as choices. I'd be surprised b/c Bowman is looking for more money than a cheap 1 year deal.
NT - Phillips has never picked up a free agent starting NT dating back to 2004. And out of his 48 defensive draft picks in that time period, he's only drafted 1 NT period. Suffice it to say that no noteworthy player/starter is coming from free agency this year at this position.
Nah 43, aside from Barwin, I don't think any more starters are coming through free agency. I bet I'm much closer to reality. Besides, at this point, they don't wanna mess up the 2 comp. picks coming next year.
