I really think we could pick 2 - 2nd rounder in a trade down out of the 1st and get an OL & Edge guy...
UNLESS...we find a stud we really covet at #23.
I keep using the FanSpeak every day to game/mock the draft and find that trading down: ie having multiple 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounders is where the action is...and can be had ONLY by trading out of the first. Getting those CB rental (Talib & Peters) is HUGE for us as it allows for an EDGE rusher, OL, LB at #23 or trade down. We need to reload on the OL as zn constantly says- he's right and having them learn for a year would be great instead of throwing them into the fire if we wait til next year to do it...tho I feel we WILL finish the rest of the new OL next year and have all replacements needed to rebuild the OL. But we must find EDGE guys...it's becoming clear that Wade's defense needs Pass rushers & CBs...LBs maybe not so much and can be filled with medium type guys.
We are gonna need LOTS of cheap labor these next 4yrs while we sign our stud players....we are gonna need a lot of mid-round picks for depth and future starters. I think the Rams wanna win now...but want to sustain it too, like the Pats do so that we are relevant in 2020 when our new wonderful theme park in Inglewood opens. We are not gonna screw our selves with win at all costs now and screw up our team for 2020...we must build to sustain and keep the good talent we have managed to leverage and get.
