The big problem with each was the fit, not the money.

TruJo got paid more than the Rams paid him even though the Rams tagged him twice.

And the Dolphins are paying Quinn under the contract he negotiated with the Rams. If his salary is too high why would the Dolphins be willing to part with some draft capital for the opportunity to pay him? (And maybe the Dolphins got scammed, but I don't think so since there were other teams (including KC) who wanted him.)
