"one"of the best.. He's right up there with Marino. There is a reason he's been paid so well. Some people in this business see that the upside is so high that they are willing to take the risk. Most fans don't get it. Given his legs I'm not sure I would be willing to take the risk either.
I've grown up with the very best qbs -Otto Graham, Johnny Unitis, VanBrocklin, Montana, ...In terms of firepower and accuracy he's better than any of those. But there are so very many tangibles that it takes to be a great qb that he doesn't appear to have. And one of the most important is the ability to withstand injuries. IMO the fans who talk about all the money he has earned do so more out of envy than from real knowledge of what he can do-when not injured. Minn. took a chance and for awhile he was unstoppable-justifying the money. But it all ended with another hit to his knee. Now Az is taking a similar chance and willing to pay for the risk.
