Sacks/Hits lead to forced fumbles. Pressures lead to interceptions more. Which happens more bro? That's right INTs!
You produce the number of INT's as the result of pressure, and I'll produce the number of turnovers as the result of hits and sacks.
Can YOU do that padna? lol
Lots of INT's come from varied results, errant passes, wrong routes, site line obstruction, tipped passes etc., etc.
But hits and sacks we can do a quantitative and qualitative analysis on.
Let's do it!
As you know everyone quantifies pressures but PFF also has this metric called Impact or Decisive Pressure which measures the most impactful pressures and how they disrupt the opposing QB.
I don't pay for that level of depth but you're more than welcome to. It should answer your question.
I did find an article that quantifies how pressures in general, AD specifically, lead to sacks.
In games that Donald played this year, the Rams got pressure on 39.2 percent of their opponents dropbacks, the fourth-best rate in the league, and they also ranked fourth among defensive units with a 7.5 sack percentage. In the two games that Donald missed this season, the Rams pressure percentage dropped all the way down to 32.2 percent while their sack percentage dipped to 6.8 percent. The Rams also had to work harder to get the pressure when Donald was absent, blitzing on 40.7 percent of their opponents passing plays without Donald in the lineup compared to just 36.2 percent of the time when he was in there. When Donald played, they were able to drop more defenders in coverage all while creating more pressure, the impact of which can’t be overstated. He elevates his entire defense in a way that few other defenders even come close to.https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-aaron-donald-is-a-terror-and-pffs-best-pass-rusherCommon sense should tell you that's a great thing. I'm not buying this I don't believe it unless I can quantify it. I actually think you're smarter than that.
Now, since I told you where to get your info, it's your turn to produce or at least direct me to where I can find the info I seek.
But to be honest, I don't need it. The words from two good DC's are enough for me.
Especially when what they're saying aligns with common sense.
And sorry my friend, that info says something, but not what I asked for.
We ALL know that vs the pass the Rams are less effective across the board w/o Donald in there.
So that's not hot of the presses.
YOU and I both know why you "LoL".
Great anticipation! lol
Do you know how the Broncos, Giants and Ravens would beat the great Tom Brady?
Best,
