Don't get me wrong. I'm sure some of these WRs will come in and in time work out well.
But there just aren't any blockbuster, difference making big time potential All Pro types that stand out.
There's going to be some 2nd round-3rd round types that wind up getting taken in the 1st for no other reason than they're the best of a mediocre bunch.
To me a first round pick ought to be a player who can contribute immediately; not necessarily as a starter, but at worst as a rotation player.
I think Snead will target one of OLB, NT, or LT in round one. I won't be a bit surprised if a potential starting LT gets pushed down to 23 like Connor Williams; one who needs a red-shirt year to get stronger and work on technique or maybe has a medical concern. Such a player would provide immediate depth and theoretically get Whitworth's future replacement on board.
I'm not about to guess who Snead might take. He has traded up, traded back, and this year could even trade out of the first round. The Rams are very tight lipped about such matters.......as they should be.
And FA is going to play a big role in what happens in the draft. We all thought CB would be high on the list. The Rams are now waist deep in top quality CBs. So we'll have to wait and see what they do in FA regarding NT and both LB positions.
