I just don't understand this logic? It seems that since he is currently underpaid on his rookie contract, that everyone is ok just overpaying him in the future because he is so good? Look, if the Rams are not going to make him fulfill his contract and NOT franchise him...twice, I expect some give on his side. Work out a long term deal that will be preferable to the scenario I just mentioned, but also benefits the Rams organization as well. I have not done the numbers, but it seems every time a team pays one guy an inordinate amount of $$$, it has a tough time keeping enough talent around the guy. Did this happen with Suh? Sometimes the best player gets screwed, especially if he wants to get every last dollar available to him. It doesn't have to be that way, but if AD is going to insist on being the highest paid defender, I might weigh my options. After three more years, he will most likely NOT be the best defender in football.
