Do players ever negotiate on their iwn behalf?

If they do it is the exception. Otherwise why would they pay an agent? That said. I don't believe either of yhese players deserved a tag. Obviously they feel they can get more in return from Joyner. But, I don't see either as irreplaceable. Though, I am certain their respective agents do
