It is crazy how he went from a bust to a must have in one year.
He is a great scrappy safety but not sure how long he will last. If his agent was looking out for him at all he would lock down a long deal with as much guaranteed money as he could get.
Guys that size don't last forever. I doubt he wants to play one year for 11 million when he could guarantee 30 million over 5 years with a 8 million average salary. Of course guessing they will settle around 10 a year. So that is why they gave it to him. That tag might be really smart. If he is going to get beat up then this protects the future and only cost an extra 1 million or so. I could see the Rams really making it hard for Joyner's agent, and really going low since the franchise tag favors them more then it does Joyner at this point.
