SINCE...we could Franchise him for 2 more if a long term deal can't be worked out....and I feel MUCH better paying Peters 16m/yr than I do Johnson....as Peters is 2x the talent. So, we may even have Peters for 4 yrs at..what rookie salary plus 2 Franchise tags...
ummm what 4 yrs for 40m? = avg 10m or 11m/yr total???? That's a deal especially 4 yrs from now...when he'll be 29.
Great move to control him.

Assuming will pay AD long term (20m+) if he takes it...if not we Franchise him and try to get Peters signed long....
or AD signed long term ASAP so we can free the tag up for the other player if he doesn't play nice.

Surprised we didn't deal Quinn in the trade to lesson the draft pick compensation...and free up cap to re-sign other players.
The fact that we DI NOT deal Quinn is quite telling. imo Wade must really think Quinn can contribute alot next year and with a shutdown CB AD/Quinn will cause havoc for our defense. Very interesting strategy..I wonder what the big picture is for Demoff/Snead/etc...it's very aggressive and very interesting.
