Austin is a goner. I dont see anyway around it.
Unlike some I like barron. I think getting a big nt in front of him is key. But the rams have alot of money invested in the lb position. And traditionally an ilb in the 3-4 is not a high money guy. I'm not happy about it but I can see it happening.
I was saying that about Austin before the season even started.
But you listed BOTH Austin AND Barron.
That is far less certain. IE the issue being Barron,
Not only that but they have several signings which add up, not just the ones that are normally listed. Of the 21 players who are UFAs, RFAs, and ERFAs, I see it this way:
Major signings:WATKINS (optional...different people have different ideas about that)
DONALD
JOYNER
PlusSullivan
McQuaide
Robey-Coleman
Tyrunn Walker
Matt Longacre
Troy Hill
Malcolm Brown
ANDthe draft picks
ANDthey will want to keep as much 2019 cap space free as possible since they will have to worry about at least some of the following: Sullivan (age and contract length), Whitworth (age), Saffold (UFA), Brown (UFA), Hav (UFA), + Gurley, Littleton, and others.
People like to cut Quinn and Barron for the Rams but it is far less clear if the Rams agree with them.
Either way, as most teams that draft well do, they have a lot of in-house traffic to take care of before they go on big fan-pleasing shopping sprees.
