In an article stating that he was a waste of money at 37 million over 2 year when he only made 30.7 million, heck he's only made 34.5 million over all 6 years with the Rams. And saying they won't go for another tender at 20 million when there are rules in place for not tendering player for a 3rd year, even if they wanted too they can't ... how can you take it serious.
I'm pretty damn sure he'll probably not be with the Rams next year unless he's willing to take a less money amount that he avg. over the last two years. But this article is a @#$%& source. Fact check dude, it only took me minutes after those number seem way off.

I believe a player can be tagged for a 3rd time. The tag number is equal to the QB tag number or 144% of the previous tag number, whichever is higher. Somebody else can double-check if they want but I think this is the case.
And it is exactly what Washington is threatening to do to Cousins.
It's unpresidented BUT a third tag IS allowable.
