First of all: Snead HAD to have been directed by Fisher to get Austin extended. Snead did not decide the roster or the priority of players.
Second; even if that was all or mostly Snead, you think every GM doesn't do deals he eventually regrets? You never know how some deals are going to pan out. It's a batting average. Every deal has a risk. Some players just stop developing. Some players just stop trying. Some players go on to make you look like a genius.
Third: So after you've nailed Snead to the cross, do you intend on carrying him around the stadium on your shoulders for drafting Aaron Donald? How about for signing what is almost unanimously considered the best FA signing in the NFL last year (Whitworth)? How about the signing of Wood? Trading for Watkins? Signing Sullivan? Drafting Kupp? Drafting John Johnson? Picking up Robey-Coleman?
Or are you only about crucifying people for not being perfect in their judgments?
