Cards need to draft their QB and go get a vet journeyman QB for next year, like a Tyrod Taylor. Someone they can have for a year to start and give the rookie QB a chance to grow and for the team to develop good players around him.
This is an older team. They have one good WR and he is a gray beard.
The D is old. The Oline is poor. They have a RB coming back after serious injury.
And they'll have all new systems.
If they were a QB and a couple of pieces away from a Superbowl run, then fine.....go get that upper tier vet QB to start.
But where they are now, they need to do what the Rams did. Draft a young QB and develop him, and then starting stockpiling young good players.
I think that's what they'll do with Arians gone.
The Cards should go after a qb like a Kirk Cousins who is a vet but still relatively young.
The Cards defense statistically was better than the Rams defense and they still have some very good players on defense.
The Cards finished 6th in total defense and have the following guys still playing at a high level
Peterson
Chandler Jones (who I believe led the NFL in sacks)
Nkemdechie
Baker
T. Williams
Rucker and Dansby are the old guys on defense and will probably be cut.
On offense they need an established qb who is efficient and can stay on the field

J. Brown
T. Nelson

Are good enough and with David Johnson coming back, I would sign Cousins and draft a young qb to groom behind him.
They're aging on the o-line but can concentrate on depth in fa and the draft.
Cardinals still have enough talent on the team to be very competitive.
