I suspect McVay had Watkins as non-primary read on too many occasions, and defenses also knew that in certain formations/situations they could turn Goff off on him by putting up the right look pre-snap.

So Jared should improve a lot with another camp on his reads and seeing through the games secondaries play. And hopefully McVay will find ways to ensure Watkins gets more early read looks from his QB.

And then of course I think Watkins will improve in this offense too with a camp under this staff. Rams need to retain him, period.
