And Goff will have an entire season and another offseason to digest the McVay system under his belt, not to mention just the experience alone.... Goff did have an outstanding year by any QB, but he will be even better next year barring major injuries to key players.
If that OL keeps him upright again, the kid will absolutely rock.
Agreed. He was beat up pretty good his rookie year by a poor OL. I am sure that was in the back of his mind this past season (at least early in the season) and might have contributed to him checking down too early or getting the ball out too soon ie; not letting the play develop long enough to get it to Watkins deep.
I am sure he gained a "sense of security" as the season went on due to the better protection. Hopefully that will help this upcoming season and he can hit some longer throws more consistantly
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
