It looked to me like Church was trying to put his right shoulder into Gttonk's sternum which is the way to do it. However, the result of the collision caused both players heads to whip together. In statics, it's akin to the motion of the free end of a flagpole. I'm surprised that Church wasn't dazed too.

As far as Gronk, though, that hit couldn't have happened to a better guy.

As far as Church being dazed how do we know he wasn't.

That's another part of the problem
