i'm sorry but he was almost a non-factor in the playoff game....
AD was a huuuuge factor in the Atl. game. In fact, he was so dominant in the 1st half, he forced Atl. into a smarter 2nd half game plan that exposed our weakness.
The announcers mentioned that AD had 10 QB hurries in the 1st half. He was disrupting nearly every one of their pass plays. Here's what PFF said afterwards:
Quote
Interior defender Aaron Donald has outdone himself, yet again, for his performance against the Falcons. After setting a new career single-game high in quarterback pressures with 10 this season (he did it twice), Donald generated 11 on Saturday and set a new bar. His 10 pressures in the first half tied a PFF record for most first half quarterback pressures, though he had 10 less pass-rushing snaps than JJ Watt had in 2014.
If it wasn't for AD's 1st half dominance, if had just played like a normal player, Atl. may have continued to try to pass in the 2nd half. They may never have decided to just run the ball down our throats in the 2nd half.
