Are there a few FA’s at CB out there that are proficient man defenders AND would be available at around $8 million, or so?
Not necessarily very top tier, mind you, but at least competent? Making TruJo (and his salary) expendable?
A cap friendly move that might result in a possibly better fit in Wade’s D?
If so, a 1st round pick at NT or rush LB might give us better bang for our D buck, both short and long term.
Sigh...
