You are arguing with yourself at this point....
The point is is that most teams are looking for that McVay like coach who can groom a QB and turnaround an offense, energize a team and create a winning culture.....not necessarily a carbon copy. You'd have better luck finding a leprechaun riding a unicorn then finding another 30 year old prodigy like McVay.
I don't think the OP intended this post to read that ALL teams are looking for the next Sean McVay, but just hearing what I've been hearing and seeing that a team wants to interview a Matt Lefluer is evedence that some teams are.
If you mean teams with offensive issues are hiring head coaches with offensive expertize, that's not new either and has nothing to do with McVay. That's age-old.
And of course there are all sorts of coaches hired all the time who can contribute to the development of the qb, energize a team, and create a winning culture. That's as old as football. There's nothing unique to McVay about any of that. For example you just described Pederson, Shanahan, and Marrone. That's what Washington got in Gibbs and SF got in Walsh. ETC. plus a long series of more ETCs.
And there's a good chance some teams DID hire that guy this hiring season. Cause after all it happens all the time.
What's unique to McV is his relative youth and lack of experience.
And the only guy who comes close to that description is Nagy.
On top of it, the only evidence that it was the TEAM evoking McV and not just paid-by-the-opinion sports media guys speculating, was with the Nagy hire. It was said that the BEARS compared Nagy to McV
