why people talk of all the talent we accumulated, we were at the top of the draft every year...except last year because we traded the pick.
Snead should have collected a lot of talent. Snead blew some substantial picks.
That's why I say he's hit or miss. I give him some credit for doing a good job on last year's draft, even though he drafted "another" project early on. I wish he would just stop that. As a team trying to rise, we needed players who were ready in rounds 1-3...not three year projects.
I give Snead a C. Yes...he has drafted good players. But, he has been in outstanding position to get those players. Still, as he has shown, you can blow top picks so he get some cred...hence a C.
On the other hand, I give him a B+ on trades (not including draft picks) and free agents. He seems to have gotten good value in those situations.
It's wait and see for me. Confident..No. Totally lacking confidence...No. Right now, I could never say "I trust in Snead."
We should take a poll "Will Snead draft another small school player requiring time to develop in the first three rounds?" I have no issue with a small school...I do have issues with drafting projects early on. To date, none have worked out.
