Used to be kids his age were never put in that position. They were always attacked if they were, and it was a big deal in broadcasting the game.
"Hey, they are going right at the ROOKIE"
And its not like he was a high first round pick. He was a 2nd round pick who needed a year in the weight room. That was a lot to put on a 21 year old kid.
So I have a hard time slamming the kid. I don't think Belichick would ever let the kid be put in that situation without him being totally prepared.
