It was that it wasn't the defenders fault. That he would have had it driven in to hom not to give up pass interference and that he thought the player may have thought he was going to get to the receiver before the ball and he was trying to avoid a flag.
Not saying it wasn't horrible, but an interesting angle I'd not considered.
Well, I would guess that yes he was trying to avoid the PI but he still needed to make a play.
The mistake was to get into that position in the first place. He was not where he needed to be when the ball arrived into Diggs hands. He needed to either play very aggressive or very conservative but he ended up in no-mans-land, lunging, off-balance, knocking over his own partner. Perfect storm of tragedy and comedy. Like Ishtar. Keystone Cops. Bad News Bears. Tonya Harding. Hindenburg. Edsel. Little Big Horn. Name yer disaster. It was just painful to watch.
