They were suppose to play a third place schedule in 2017 and played Philly (13-3), NO (12-5) and MIN (13-3) who were third place teams in 2016. And two playoff teams in the AFC who are still alive (TEN & JAX).
Schedule are so pre-set now with only two slots up for debate each year (other teams in the NFC they are not playing the whole division) the schedule is now a complete crapshoot due to teams in and out of the playoffs (eight new teams out of 12 this year).
The tough schedule thing is a myth IMO.... it varies every year during the year....
