He's shown some promise, from what I've read, but what is the track record of backups from great teams having long term success. We've seen guys like Matt Cassell have a few ok years in the league before topping out. Then there was the guy who backed up Rogers on GB - Flynn was it? He was supposed to be the QB of the future for the Seahawks. Who was the McNab back up in Philadelphia who flamed out pretty quick? He was a second round pick, if I recall.
