I was down on him last year. And I'm still not sure whether he is a good QB or a franchise QB. I know McVay helps. And weapons help.
BUT.
When I watch Trubisky, Kizer, Paxton Lynch and etc. I think he is definitely a QB capable of having a long and good career. A winning career.
I think Wentz is definitely a franchise QB. I'm just not sure about Goff. Is he a Marino or Fouts or Brady or Montana? Probably not.
Would I be happy with a Stafford, Ryan or Rivers? Sure.
I could be wrong. Although an avid fan who understands the obvious. I am far from an expert. Just my thoughts. Peace my brothers' and sisters'
I preferred Goff to Wentz for 2 reasons:
1. Goff was 2 years younger and played more football.
2. Wentz only played 1 full year of college ball at N.Dakota St. He got hurt and I feared that he was injury prone.
Well, we saw what happened last week. Wentz has now only played 2 full seasons in 5 years. Who knows if he will ever stay healthy long term. He cant continue playing like he does, but he may not be able to help himself, that may be just in his DNA.
Goff was so bad last year. If he make the same amount of improvement next year, that he did this year, hes gonna be a top 5 QB. He's still only 23. When Russell Wilson was 23 he was still in college.
Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!
Ladies and gentlemen, we have found ourselves a thinking man!
